В ряде исследований продемонстрирован положительный эффект препарата при неалкогольной жировой болезни печени, выражающийся в снижении активности трансаминаз, уменьшении размеров печени и инсулинорезистентности. Целью нашего исследования явилось изучение эффективности метформина у больных с метаболическим синдромом и неалкогольной жировой болезнью печени.  В результате проведенного исследования установлено, что применение Сиофора по 850 мг 2 раза в день в сочетании с гипокалорийным питанием у пациентов с метаболическим синдромом и неалкогольной жировой болезнью печени приводит к значимому снижению инсулинорезистентности, сопровождающейся снижением активности трансаминаз, улучшением метаболических показателей. На фоне терапии Сиофором большинство пациентов (60%) с метаболическим синдромом и неалкогольной жировой болезнью печени достигли клинически значимого снижения массы тела и улучшения композиционного состава тела. Применение Сиофора повышает эффективность изменения образа жизни у больных ожирением с неалкогольной дировой болезнью печени и метаболическими нарушениями.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The mechanism of action of metformin is realized through activation of cAMP-dependent protein kinase, leading to a decrease hepatic glucose production as well as to decrease the synthesis of triglycerides and an increase in fat oxidation. Several studies have demonstrated the positive effect of the drug in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, manifested in reducing the activity of enzymes, reducing the size of the liver and insulin resistance. The aim of our study was to evaluate the effectiveness of metformin in patients with metabolic syndrome and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. The study found that the use Siofor 850 mg 2 times a day in conjunction with a reduced-calorie nutrition in patients with metabolic syndrome and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease leads to a significant reduction in insulin resistance associated with decreased activity of transaminases, improvement of metabolic parameters. The therapy Siofor majority of patients (60%) with metabolic syndrome and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease achieved a clinically significant weight loss and improved body composition.
