Акромегалия - это тяжелое нейроэндокринное заболевание, вызываемое избыточной продукцией гормона роста - соматотропина (СТГ) аденогипофизом. Акромегалия - это не только проблема внешнего облика пациента. Гиперсекреция СТГ приводит к ряду тяжелых проявлений, снижению качества и продолжительности жизни пациентов за счет развития тяжелых сердечно-сосудистых осложнений. При этом своевременная диагностика и адекватное лечение данного заболевания позволяют сократить смертность в 2-5 раз, и медикаментозная терапия аналогами соматостатина играет заслуженно важную роль в лечении пациентов с акромегалией при невозможности проведения радикального оперативного лечения. Мы представляем первый российский опыт применения нового препарата - Соматулина® Аутожель® у пациентки с акромегалией с анализом его благоприятных эффектов на клинические и метаболические проявления заболевания.

Acromegaly is a severe neuroendocrine disease that develops when the pituitary gland produces excess growth hormone (GH). Acromegaly is not only a cosmetic problem. Hypersecretion of GH leads to variety complications, decreased quality of life, shortening the expected lifespan due to development of severe cardiovascular complications. Timely diagnosis and adequate treatment can reduce mortality by 2-5 times and medical therapy deservedly plays an important role in treatment of patients with acromegaly when radical surgical treatment cannot be performed. We present a first Russian experience of acromegaly patient treatment with new preparation - Somatulin Autogel, with analysis of its favorable effects on clinical and metabolic manifestations of the disease.
