Неуклонно возрастающее число людей с ожирением требует разработки простых и точных методологических подходов для количественной оценки абсолютного и относительного количества жировой массы тела. Одним из индексов, предложенных для количественной оценки относительного количества жировой массы — доли жировой массы, является индекс жироотложения (ИЖ, BAI, body adiposity index). Однако данные о согласованности оценок доли жировой массы, получаемые с применением распространенных методов скрининга (биоимпедансного анализа (БИА) и ультразвукового исследования (УЗИ)) и ИЖ, для российской популяции отсутствуют.</p></sec><sec><title>Цель</title><p>Цель. Анализ согласованности результатов оценки доли жировой массы тела, полученной с применением методов БИА, УЗИ и ИЖ, у взрослых мужчин и женщин.</p></sec><sec><title>Материалы и методы</title><p>Материалы и методы. Было проведено обследование взрослых условно-здоровых мужчин и женщин, проживающих в г. Москве. Были измерены длина и масса тела, обхват талии и бедер. Долю жировой массы тела определяли с применением БИА (АВС-02 «Медасс), УЗИ (BodyMetrixTM, IntelaMetrix) и проводили расчет ИЖ.</p></sec><sec><title>Результаты</title><p>Результаты. В исследовании приняли участие 263 женщины и 134 мужчины от 18 до 73 лет. Коэффициенты корреляции ИЖ с долей жировой массы (%ЖМ), рассчитанной по результатам БИА и УЗИ, составили 0,749 и 0,763 (p&lt;0,000) соответственно. Анализ согласованности результатов оценки %ЖМ, определенной по значению ИЖ, БИА и УЗИ, показал, что ИЖ демонстрирует слабую согласованность (коэффициент конкордантной корреляции (ССС)&lt;0,90) с обоими инструментальными методами как на уровне общей выборки, так и в подгруппах по полу. При этом методы УЗИ и БИА демонстрируют наиболее высокий уровень согласованности (ССС=0,84 [0,80–0,86]) и отсутствие систематического смещения. Наименее согласованными оказались результаты определения %ЖМ в подгруппе мужчин.</p></sec><sec><title>Заключение</title><p>Заключение. Полученные результаты позволяют заключить, что оценка %ЖМ по значению ИЖ на индивидуальном уровне не может служить заменой косвенным методам, тогда как на групповом уровне в смешанной выборке мужчин и женщин все три метода являются взаимозаменяемыми.</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><sec><title>BACKGROUND</title><p>BACKGROUND: The steadily increasing number of people with obesity requires the development of simple and accurate methodological approaches to assess the absolute and relative amount of body fat mass. The body adiposity index (BAI) is one of the indices proposed to assess the body fat percentage. However, the comparison analysis of common methods, i.e., of bio-electrical impedance analysis and ultrasound scanning, and BAI was not performed for the Russian population.</p></sec><sec><title>AIM</title><p>AIM: Comparison analysis of the body fat percentage estimates by bio-electrical impedance analysis, ultrasound scanning, and body adiposity index in the group of adult male and females.</p></sec><sec><title>MATERIALS AND METHODS</title><p>MATERIALS AND METHODS: An examination of healthy males and females from Moscow was conducted. Height, weight, waist and hip circumferences were measured. The body fat percentage was obtained by bio-electrical impedance analysis — BIA (ABC-02 Medas), ultrasound scanning — US (BodyMetrixTM, IntelaMetrix), and body adiposity index.</p></sec><sec><title>RESULTS</title><p>RESULTS: 263 females and 134 males aged 18 to 73 years participated in the study. Correlation coefficients between BAI values and the body fat percentage obtained by BIA and US were 0.749 and 0.763 (p&lt;0.000), respectively. Comparison of body fat percentage measurements obtained by BAI, BIA and US showed the low agreement (ССС&lt;0.90) between BAI and other methods in pooled sample as well as in the female and male groups. Comparison of the US and BAI methods revealed higher level of agreement (ССС=0.84 [0.80–0.86]) and no systematic bias. Lower level of agreement was obtained in the group of males.</p></sec><sec><title>CONCLUSION</title><p>CONCLUSION: Conducted study allows to conclude that, at the individual level, BAI is not an appropriate method for estimating the body fat percentage relatively to other indirect methods.
